Who we are

Solid Sums is a small bookkeeping firm working with small businesses. Between our team we’ve got decades of accounting experience.
We do bookkeeping, not tax. We keep your books accurate and your HST filed, and we hand your accountant a clean file at year-end. When something belongs with your accountant, we’ll say so.
What we do
Bookkeeping, kept current.
Each month we categorise your transactions, reconcile your accounts, and prepare a basic report package. We’ll also file your HST on time. At year end, your accountant gets a clean file. Tax returns and tax advice stay with your accountant.

Jennifer Gilpin

Fifteen-plus years in accounting, mostly with small businesses. Jennifer runs operations and keeps client books accurate and current. Off the clock she travels, reads, and paddle-boards.
Nancy Gilpin
Account Manager & Bookkeeper
Clearview, ON
Thirty-plus years in accounting, from small shops to corporations with international sales. Nancy manages client accounts and is usually who you’ll speak with first. Away from the desk she’s kayaking Georgian Bay or spending time with family.
Angie Harvey
Jr. Bookkeeper
Clearview, ON
With a certificate in bookkeeping, Angie enjoys keeping things organized and helping businesses stay on track. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family and beloved animals.

We’re comfortable in all three, if that’s what your business is already running on.
Financial Cents & Dext
Financial Cents runs our practice behind the scenes; Dext handles receipts.

We also work alongside Buildium, Clio, Jane, Jobber, and other software built for your industry.
