Employee Wagepoint Setup
Your employer has chosen to use Wagepoint to process payroll.
This means, you’ll be able to see your paystubs online. You’ll also be able to make changes, as needed, to your information.
But, first, you need to input some basic information about yourself in order to get paid:
Basic Information
In the basic information section, please enter your date of birth, home address, and bank information for direct deposit.
This information is required before you can get paid!
Tax Information
In the tax information section, please choose your tax claim codes (Federal and Provincial).
Choosing the claim codes is required before you can get paid!
The Clam Codes will look something like this:

You choose the range that matches your personal tax requirements.
How to Determine Your Claim Code
You should have received an email with the tax forms. If not, you can find them here. You’ll want to use the TD1_2025 Federal and the TD1ON_2025 for Ontario.
Example 1 (Jane, Federal)
Jane McFakerson claims the basic personal amount on line 1 and has no other claims. Her total claim amount is $16,129. She would choose Code 1 (0.00 to 16,129.00) in the Wagepoint dropdown for Federal TD1 Claim Code.

Example 2 (John, Federal)
John McFakerson claims the basic personal amount on line 1 and is over 65 and only working part-time (with an expected total income of less than $45,522 for the year) so he also claims the age amount on line 3. His total claim amount is $25,158. He would choose Code 5 (24,463.01 to 27,241.00) in the Wagepoint dropdown for Federal TD1 Claim Code.

Example 3 (Ann, Federal)
Ann McFakerson claims the basic personal amount on line 1 and is a full-time student so she’ll also claim a tuition amount on line 5. Her total claim amount is $22,229. She would choose Code 4 (21,685.01 to 24463.00) in the Wagepoint dropdown for Federal TD1 Claim Code

Ontario TD1 Form
The Provincial form work the same way (although with different categories and amounts). Determine what – if any – claims you’ll make, get your total, and choose the matching dropdown in Wagepoint.
Do you have to actually fill out the forms?
Providing your employer with the correct tax information is your responsibility. Choosing the correct codes is generally sufficient, but there may be situations where it is not. If you find yourself checking boxes or adding information to page 2 of the TD forms, you’ll need to fill out the form (including the second page), save it, and upload it to Wagepoint.
When in doubt, fill it out!
Beyond 2025
These examples were done in 2025.
If you’re filling out the forms for the first time in 2026 or later, the numbers will likely be different but otherwise it works the same.
If it’s 2026 (or later) and you did Claim Codes in a prior year, you don’t have to do them again. You only need to do new forms if your situation changes or you get a new employer.
